The Transcript For This Page
Theo continues down a corridor as Murphy and Hugo flank him.
Theo: Our initial scans of this galaxy indicated the networked gravimetric distortions that you no doubt found yourselves.
Theo: We chose to explore a sector dominated by an insectoid species … the Brennir.
Cut scene to show Hugo and Murphy Mk1 in conversation with a trio of Brennir.
Caption (Theo): 'First contact seemed to go quite smoothly. I think they were as curious about us as we were about them.'
Caption 2: 'Of course they were especially curious about our Displacement Drive. And of course we tried to deflect their attention to less-dangerous prizes.'
Two of the Brennir shoot Hugo and Murphy with energy weapons.
Caption (Theo): 'But they were not deflected, and eventually decided they could take what they wanted by force.'
Caption: 'As Alyss might have said, we were insufficiently paranoid. And thus, captured.'
