Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Transcript For Strip 218
Panel 1Nicole is still sitting on her table, her drink almost empty, and is startled when Danielle, one of the people in the group that had freaked her out previously, sticks her head tentatively into the frame (from the left).
Danielle: Um, Ms. Oresme? May I talk to you for just a minute?
Nicole: Huh? Ah, sure, have a seat.
Panel 2
Danielle takes an adjacent chair and faces Nicole woman-to-woman.
Danielle: I want to apologize for scaring you the other day. I really didn't mean to.
Nicole: Well, it wasn't just you. It was the whole group.
Panel 3
Nicole lays a hand on Danielle's forearm, looks her in the eye.
Nicole: I don't want to be mobbed, Danielle, but I don't want to be a hermit either.
Nicole: I just want to laugh and drink and have some fun.

Danielle and Nicole smiling slyly at each other, like a pair of mischievous college girls.
Danielle: There are five more lounges and nine on-going suite parties that I know of.
Nicole: Bar crawl?
