Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
What Comes Next [ Mar 18, 2024 ]
The war is over, but This Means War has a ways to go. Novo Paolo/Bubbleopolis is still in a nebula/stellar nursery, no one knows what happened to the planet Sharen (center of the Intergalactic Council), and the status of the now-surrendered Invaders is yet to be resolved. What will they do when they learn their homeworld is basically destroyed? Will Alyss and Li be re-united? How about Diana (the real one) and Otto?
These questions will be resolved in the next few weeks, before This Means War part 3 wraps in late May.
After that, I plan to go BACK in time about 400 years, to when Alyss and Li left their home in the Sol System to colonize a new world on the far side of the galaxy. As one might expect, hijinks ensue. New subtitle yet to be determined, start date sometime in around the start of July. Stay tuned!
Panel 1
Overhead view of the shuttle descending towards the lunar surface, a bit more than a thousand kilometers below. We can clearly see domed craters in the mountains and some airskin-covered stretches in the plains.
Pilot: Attention passengers, this is your pilot.
Pilot: We are on track for Aldrinopolis, estimated arrival time is 1 hour, 25 minutes.
Panel 2
In the passenger cabin, looking over a row of seat-backs, and some random passengers' heads, at the next row of seat-backs, which have monitors built into them. The monitors show a camera view from the bow of the shuttle, towards their destination.
Pilot: Passengers may view our progress on their seat-back monitors.
Pilot: Using your arm-rest controls you can switch views from nose-cam to schematic ...
Panel 3
A shot of the control cabin – there are no humans or even androids present – just machinery. The pilot's voice comes from one of the consoles.
Pilot: We have just passed the Sea of Vapors and will be crossing the Sea of Tranquility on our final approach.
Panel 4
Nicole and Seamus, sitting in their seats in the front row. Seamus is ignoring the pilot, doing something with his Screen. Nicole is intently watching the monitor, which is on the cabin bulkhead in front of her (OP).
Pilot: In approximately 10 minutes the monitor will mark the location of 'Tranquility Base,' where the first men landed on Luna, just four weeks shy of 511 years ago.
