Lee Oaks presents THUNDER MONKEY! [ Jun 14, 2016 ]
He's not from our world. His sister is annoying. His skin explodes. When he punches something it goes KA-BOOM! Meet THUNDER MONKEY.
THUNDER MONKEY: The Young Years is a comic-book funded via Kickstarter by Lee Oaks, the artist for BHP's sci-fi adventure strip Escape From Terra. It is an all-ages comic with a lead character Lee describes as "Curious George with superpowers." The book is scheduled to ship in September 2016.
Kudos from David Brin [ Jun 13, 2016 ]
QUANTUM VIBE received a welcome shout-out recently from award-winning sci-fi author David Brin in his blog this month. (Third entry in a list of 18 recommended web-comics.)
Scott has read and enjoyed several of Brin's novels, including The Postman and Sun Diver and Brin's kudos made his day. Special thanks to QV reader Harvey Morrell for bringing this to our attention.
The Transcript For This Page
Hari and Seamus walk down a hallway in Sharkisian's clinic.
Hari: So, did Dr. Sharkisian bring you up to speed on Nicole's situation?
Seamus: Mostly. She was arrested on some bogus charge and thrown into a dungeon.
Two-shot of Hari and Seamus.
Hari: That's the gist of it. I suspect that rat bastard Andrew Koak is behind this, but I can't prove it … yet.
Seamus: It could be Wayne Bobinardi with Gensaxwal. He's been dogging us since Mercury.
The two men pause outside a doorway.
Hari: Well, whoever it is, I've got Antigone Stone on the case.
Seamus: Good choice. She already has the background she’ll need to sort this out.
Two-shot of Hari and Seamus, who is grinning an evil grin.
Hari: Too bad that mystery android got away. We could've learned something from him.
Seamus: I doubt it, but it would've been fun trying.
