Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 1Nicole suddenly leaps out of the rubble pile, in a high arc, twirling the shovel overhead. Her anysuit has transformed into the leather costume of a fantasy Greek Warrior-Princess
Nicole: Ai-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi-!
Tough 2: Ho
Tough 1: Shit!
Panel 2
One broad and mighty swing of the shovel sends all three toughs flying backward.
SFX: BA-BA-BAM!!!
Panel 3
Nicole back-jabs the shovel handle into Tough 2's throat, stunning him
Nicole: KYA!
Tough 2: Urk!
Panel 4
With a wide 2-hand grip, Nicole brings the shovel handle up hard into Tough 1's jaw.
Nicole: HA!
Tough 1: AAAGH!
SFX: SMASH!
Panel 5
She swings the blade in a wide arc, catching Tough 3 flatly in the face.
Nicole: CHA!
SFX: WHANG!!
Panel 6
Tough 2 has come up behind her again, but this time she jabs the shovel straight backward and catches him in the solar plexus with its handle.
Nicole: HO!
Tough 2: OOF!
Panel 7
Multiple-exposure image -- Nicole back-flips over the bent-forward Tough 2, getting behind him, and jams the shovel blade-first into his ass.
Nicole: Duck Duck Duck GOOSE!
Tough 2: AAAAAA!!!
SFX: SHOONK!

Nicole stands triumphantly amid the battered and bleeding bodies of her fallen foes, holding her shovel overhead and grinning like a madwoman.
Nicole: It's not Aikido.
Nicole: It's not pretty.
Nicole: It's SHOVEL POWER!
