A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Zander is putting his rucksack in a locker, holding his tablet in one hand. Bok is walking up to him.
Caption: Somewhat later:
Bok: There you are!
Bok: I couldn't believe you missed the 'Rail, and the first class.
Zander: Stuff happens, I guess.
Panel 2
Zander is showing Bok the 'tooth' he found earlier.
Zander: Speaking of strangeness, I ran into Lorri this morning. Literally.
Zander: After she left, I found this on the floor.
Bok: Is that a tooth? Lorri's?

Zander holds the tooth between thumb and index finger, as Bok looks on.
Zander: Maybe, I don't know.
Zander: But when we're in biology class, I want to look at this in the magnifier.
Zander: There's something funny about it.
Bok: Funny 'ha-ha' or funny weird?

Zander and Bok walk down the corridor.
Zander: Weird. We've known Lorri for years.
Zander: Did she ever mention having an accident? Having dental implants?
Bok: Not that I can remember.

Bok and Zander
Zander: She was pretty banged-up after that fight with Diana.
Zander: I saw two missing teeth. Our collision may have knocked a loose one out.
Bok: So you're sure it's hers? Why would she have an implant and never mention it?

As the two continue walking, Bok looks like he just bit his tongue.
Zander: Good questions. But it's like you always say:
