A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 1242
Panel 1Alyss, Bok and Zander have exited the elevator which has landed at a lower level. Alyss leads, carrying her torch.
Zander: How far down are we?
Alyss: Only about, um … a thousand peters.
Alyss: Deep enough to avoid any scans from the surface.
Panel 2
As they walk along the tunnel, Zander notes some primitive digging tools – a pick-axe, a jack hammer, and a small rolling bin.
Zander: I thought this mine was dug with lasers?
Alyss: It was. But there was a cave-in some time back, and I needed to clear some rubble.
Panel 3
Overhead view – Alyss has led the boys down a flight of steps into a large room full of advanced technical gear. They look around in wonder.
Bok: Woah.
Zander: Did you build this all yourself?
Alyss: This is nothing. You should see my other secret hideout.
