Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Panel 1
Alyss stands at the conference table, in front of her is a holographic image of Zytemonde, with bits of tactical gew-gaws imposed on it.
Alyss: Our culture respects sapient life, even when it was artificial, like your Central Intelligence.
Alyss: Of course, its actions in enslaving, crippling and killing your people nullify any claim it might have to a right to go on living.
Alyss: But even though we have the ability, we can't destroy it, because millions of lives still depend on its functioning.
Panel 2
Another angle on Alyss, include Elric and maybe Sargon.
Alyss: Fortunately we have other options, and that's where the risks I mentioned come in.
Alyss: In his last trip Michael was able to do a bit of electronic surveillance, and has located where the other 'misfits' are being detained.
Alyss: At least, with a high probability of accuracy.
Panel 3
Bok, Zander and Alyss.
Bok: What about my father?
Alyss: He's still in the apartment where you left him. Your aunt and Nurse Demeanor have been caring for him.
Alyss: I ... don't know what effect your disappearance has had on him.
