Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 1486

Panel 1
Two-shot of Hugo and Eithne. Eithne is holding up an egg-shaped object about 3 cm long.
Eithne: Before you go, you need to ah intake this somehow.
Hugo: What is it?
Eithne: It's a micro-hopper-transponder.
Panel 2
Pull back a bit to include Murphy in the frame. Hugo is holding the egg now, inspecting it intently.
Murphy: A micro-whosit-whatsit?
Eithne: A tiny Murphy Drive combined with a homing device. Very short range.
Eithne: An emergency get-out-of-trouble gadget. Also kind of experimental.

Panel 3
Hugo is looking thoughtful while Murphy and Eithne argue.
Murphy: 'Kind of experimental'? Has it even been tested?
Eithne: Of course it has. But, well, the results weren't always ah consistent.
Murphy: Are you sure this isn't a get-into-trouble gadget?
