A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Otto (from mansion): Oh, until I work up the courage to suicide, I guess.

Otto's bedroom. He's laying face-down in the bed. Is striding over too him, looking annoyed.
Otto: Without Diana how can my life have any meaning?
Lorelei: Meaning?
Lorelei: You want some meaning in your life?

Lorelei grabs him by his shirt collar, lifting him off the bed. ….
Lorelei: Here's something to ponder, kiddo.

… and slaps him hard across the face.
SFX: Swack!!

Now Otto is kneeling, leaning back on one arm on his bed, looking shocked and with a big red mark on his cheek. Lorelei is telling him how the cow ate the cabbage.
Lorelei: You think you've suffered a loss? You still have a home! A family! Your health!
Lorelei: There is a multitude of people here who have lost EVERYTHING.
Lorelei: You want some meaning, get off your whiny butt and go help them!
