Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Cut to Hugo and Murphy, in a workshop, Hugo is looking up at something while Murphy is working on a hand-held Screen.
Caption: Far, far away:
Hugo: When will this be ready? We're on a schedule.
Murphy: Just an hour or so longer. I need to be certain this was done right.
Panel 2
Another angle on the pair. Hugo leers at Murphy. She smiles back.
Murphy: How's the new bod?
Hugo: All systems are fully functional.
Murphy: That's good to know, but as you said we're on a schedule.
Panel 3
Camera trucks back and upward. We're looking down at the pair from several meters away and up.
Hugo: Well, at least you got a good start while I was being restored.
Murphy: Would have been quicker but, I had to enlarge the construction bay considerably.
Panel 4
Reverse view, now looking from behind Hugo and Murphy at a truly enormous spaceship.
Hugo: Considering what we're getting into now ...
Hugo: Will it be big enough?
