Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
BHP Forum No More [ May 1, 2021 ]
Well folks, it's been 14 years since we started the Big Head Press forum. And there's been a lot of great conversations held there. But, as they do, the times change, and most of the conversations regarding Quantum Vibe and other Big Head Press thoughtful stories have moved on to social media sites like Facebook and Mewe, as well as to the Disqus section on the Quantum Vibe website. With so few participating in the online forum anymore, we decided it was time to retire the forum.
We truly appreciate all the fan support we received there over the years, and hope those stalwart few who continued using the Big Head Press forum will join the rest of us on the other platforms.
Medium shot of Alyss in her chair with Michael in her lap. He's 'awake' again.
Michael: That Falstaff is such a supercilious twerp. Why can't we get news from Bolivar Clark?
Alyss: 'Bok' left town almost a cycle ago, said he was following a big story.
Cut to: Albert Montoya is on a by-way in some middling town on a planet (we can see a couple of moons in the background sky) talking to an Old Codger. Alyss speaks one line from a cameo inset:
Alyss: He didn't say where … and I'm a bit worried about him.
Albert: So, you're sure they said KannT'nkRiss?
Old Codger: No, dadgummit.
Medium close-up on Albert and the Old Codger.
Old Codger: Dey shayd, shewuza cantankrus brawad.
Old Codger: Budshe toll Geartrood shewuz stainin Argwotts.
Old Codger: Cantya unnerstan Loowanee?
Looking at Albert and the Old Codger from a distance, we see the same gent who we saw tailing Albert previously, discreetly loitering around the corner.
Albert: I'm sorry, sir, this is my first visit to New Charlotte. I'm unaccustomed to your dialect of Loony.
Old Codger: Sunya badder larn daloco lingo ifya wanna shtay lawng.
