Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Jerome Falstaff and Bok are walking through a concourse. A few other people about, but not crowded. Half of the shops are closed. They pass by a display promoting the Resposta Ciudadana (Citizen Response) put together by Stouder et al.
Caption: Elsewhere in the city:
Bok: More than a third of these shops are closed!
Bok: Just a few cycles ago this place was thriving.
Jerome: Yeah, bombings tend to scare people away from gathering-places.
Panel 2
The pair continue onward through the concourse. They pass by a display promoting the Resposta Ciudadana (Citizen Response) put together by Stouder et al.
Bok: ‘Citizen Response’? I’ve been seeing this all over the place.
Jerome: Yeah, it developed while you were out chasing Montoya.
Panel 3
They walk by one shop that is still damaged from a recent fire.
Bok: This is awful. Haven’t the Pillars been able to get a handle on who’s doing this?
Jerome: They’ve kicked that ball down to the minor leagues.
Bok: The minor who?
Panel 4
As they walk into the distance we see a plain-looking woman carrying a backpack walking into the foreground. Another citizen is approaching from the other side of the panel, farther back
Jerome: The lesser sphere-owners. They’ve organized their own citizen-militia, of sorts.
Bok: In competition with Demônios de Combate? How is Kāng taking that?
Jerome: He hasn’t said a word about it. I’m betting he’s livid.
