Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Two-shot of Seamus and Nicole. Seamus is now standing, and Nicole has thrown her arms around him, burying her head between his man-boobs. Seamus isn't quite sure how to respond.
Nicole: They took my zringer, Seamus!
Nicole: And I let them!
Nicole: (smaller type) I'm a coward.
Panel 2
Seamus stands back slightly and places his hands on both of Nicole's shoulders.
Seamus: You're no coward, Nicole.
Seamus: You wisely chose discretion over valor. I'd have done the same, in your situation.
Panel 3
As Seamus withdraws his hands, Nicole looks at his right hand, which still has Seamus' zringer.
Nicole: I see that you managed to keep yours.
Seamus: Ah, yes, well, I've had a Lunar weapons permit for some time.
Panel 4
Now Nicole's anger is directed at Seamus.
Nicole: You knew I'd need a permit and you didn't get one for me?
Seamus: Ah – that is, I didn't expect you'd have to go through the enhanced screening.
