Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 1Alyss appears to be at a loss. Jorge and Sergio look on.
Alyss: I … don’t know.
Alyss: Last I saw them, they came to report their findings about the relativistic missiles sent at us.
Panel 2
A bit of a recap, since it’s been so long.
Sergio: Right. The missiles came from the Andromeda Galaxy, meaning, Shenhua Itochu.
Jorge: Meaning, the Inter-Galactic Council. Kind of old news, now.
Panel 3
Alyss clearly doesn’t like what she’s hearing.
Jorge: Most likely they saw our situation was bad and took a powder.
Jorge: Perhaps we should consider an evacuation.
Panel 4
Alyss is now openly angry.
Alyss: I can’t believe I’m hearing this!
Alyss: When the chips were down in the last war, we didn’t just give up!
Jorge: Woah, that’s not what I’m saying.
Panel 5
Sergio, Alyss, Jorge
Jorge: I’m saying we evacuate the most vulnerable. The children. The injured.
Jorge: Keep them safe while we fight.
Sergio: Where is ‘safe’ at this point?
Sergio: The IGC has its tentacles everywhere.

Alyss is looking at Sergio with renewed admiration.
Sergio: Our culture selects for the most robust people, those most-dedicated to liberty.
Sergio: The strength of this city is its people.
Sergio: We have to find a better solution.
