Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Marlon pops back to his field HQ, where his lieutenants anxiously await. He is visibly shaken.
SFX: POP!
Caption: A few moments later:
Marlon: You’re not going to believe this …
Marlon: … it’s gone! The Legation is just gone!
Panel 2
Amelia, Alain and Marlon
Amelia: But .. that’s supposed to be impossible!
Alain: At least, that’s what the scientists promised us!
Marlon: Well, maybe those damn cappies out-smarted them.
Panel 3
Amelia, Alain and Marlon
Amelia: Out-smarted? How?
Marlon: I’m not certain. But I checked one of the outer spheres, and …
Marlon: … Well, the sky looks very different. More reddish.
Panel 4
Amelia, Alain and Marlon.
Alain: More reddish … some new kind of energy field?
Amelia: Maybe. I can’t reach Shārén either.
Marlon: Nor can I. So, we are completely cut off from any outside aid.
Panel 5
Amelia, Alain and Marlon.
Alain: So, what do we do now?
Amelia: We are still seven hundred thousand strong. We fight until we win.
Marlon: Brave, but foolish. Almost every one of those 25 million cappies is armed, even the children!
Panel 6
Amelia, Alain and Marlon. Marlon looks defeated, Amelia and Alain look surprised.
Marlon: They may not be well-trained, but they are getting more ferocious by the day.
Marlon: Our best option at this point is, negotiated surrender. We live to fight another day.
