Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

The Not-Safe-Space 2 Kickstarter Campaign has ended successfully. Thanks to all who pledged!

Now we get to wait 2 weeks while Kickstarter transmits the funds, and Scott can order the books, and send surveys to backers to get current e-mail addresses for the .PDF versions and mailing addresses for the physical books.

All of this should show up in June.

Transcript For Strip 2531

Panel 1
Li and Nicole at the kitchen table.
Li: This could get really involved, and we still need to plant crops soon or else import more food packs.
Nicole: We can afford that. My friends are not so fortunate.
Panel 2
Focus on Li.
Li: So much for our original plans for self-sufficiency.
Li: OK, then, let’s put your friends to work.
Li: We need a list of all the potential complainants.
Panel 3
Focus on Nicole, as Li speaks OP
Li: I’ll draw up an agreement for any willing to join the case ,,,
Li: … then you and your friends can circulate it among them for signatures.
Li: And try to be quiet about it.
Panel 4
Warren has been eves-dropping from around the corner.
Li: I’ll split my time between completing repairs on our harvester and finding some arbitrators willing to adjudicate for us.
Nicole: Do you think we’ll need to import more food?
Panel 5
Li stands up.
Li: Maybe, we’ll see in a few cycles.
Li: Well, time to get to work … we both have jobs to do now.
Li: Not to mention, the kids need to do their lessons.
Panel 6
Now, the children are flanking Nicole at the kitchen table. Brielle is focused on her tablet, whereas Warren just looks like he wants to cry. Nicole notices Warren’s distress but speaks to Brielle.
Brielle: How do I know whether to use the sine or cosine of this angle?
Nicole: Well, is the angle adjacent to or opposite the hypotenuse?
