Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Alyss: Just a few days later Adila called another meeting. So we met at her place.

Cut to Nicole, Adila, Alexandra, Penelope at Adila’s house. They’re siting in a semi-circle around a display showing some text
Adila: It took some time to locate the families of the deceased, and not all of them wanted to join our class action suit.

Adila: Just three of the seven families affected.
Alexandra: Do you know why?
Adila: Their reasons varied, but we’ll have to proceed without them.

Adila: That leaves the 39 surviving families, all of which are participating.
Nicole: No holdouts? That simplifies things.

Cut to Zachary, leaning against a doorjamb, observing.
Adila (OP): Many hesitated, until I told them you and your husband were involved, Nicole.
Adila: Your celebrity status has a lot of pull.

Back to the women; Nicole is face-palming. Alexandra is giving Penelope the side-eye.
Nicole: Oh, great. If we screw this up, Li and I are gonna take the heat.
Penelope: Then we’d better not screw this up.
