Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Breakfast table at the Situs. Alyss in a cameo.
Alyss: So, we transmitted our selection to Elvin’s lawyer. But then …
Nicole: Elvin wants to negotiate a settlement before we go to arbitration.
Panel 2
Nicole and Li
Li: This frequently happens to avoid arbitrator fees.
Nicole: That fee is barely a drop in the bucket of what Elvin faces.
Panel 3
Li and Nicole
Li: Indeed. Especially considering the deaths involved.
Nicole: And not all the families involved joined our class action.
Panel 4
Shift focus to Warren and Brielle. Warren is listening, Brielle is ignoring the adults’ conversation.
Li: I would not want to be in Elvin’s position now.
Nicole: Nor his family. What if they just pack up and go off-world?
Panel 5
Warren abruptly gets up to leave the table.
Warren: May I be excused? I’m not hungry.
Nicole: Warren, you need to finish your breakfast.
Panel 6
Li, Nicole, Brielle
Li: Maybe we shouldn’t discuss this matter in front of the kids.
Brielle: Can I have his bacon strips?
