Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)

Panel 1Two very bedraggled tweens shamble into the town of Juanita.
Warren: So, where is the realtor’s office?
Winona: You haven’t ever been there?
Warren: I’ve only been to the recreation center

Warren and Winona.
Warren: But my father said her father has an office there where she works.
Winona: Must be nice, working in an office. I’ll show you the way.
Panel 3
As W&W approach the real estate office, Candace steps out, and they all notice each other.
Warren: Candace!
Candace: Oh good grief, are you the missing brats?
Winona: Nice to see you, too, Candace.

Candace faces Warren, as Winona fades back.
Warren (thought, small): ‘brats’
Candace: You two have got the whole valley up in arms!
Candace: Some people are saying my parents have kidnapped you!
Candace: Why did you come here?

The most embarrassing moment in Warren’s life:
Warren (nervous): Well …uh … I just wanted to see you, and ... tell you … I’m really sorry our families are suing your father, but … I hope … that you can stay on Novo Palermo, and ... that we can still be –uh-- friends, and, you know … if you want to … er … hang out sometime …

Candace laughs as she turns to walk away.
Candace: Hang out with you? Are you serious? My father is going to beat your asses in court and I hope that’s the last time I’ll have to look at you.
