A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Li: Wait … a 250 hectare ANT FARM?
Earl: Heh-heh. I know that sounds kinda crazy.

Li, Julius and Earl
Julius: Er … just how big are those ants?
Earl: Yer a perceptive feller, ain’t ya?
Earl: These ain’t those typical one-centimeter bugs.

Focus on Earl as he explains.
Earl: These are a special hybrid of Texas leaf-cutter ants, carpenter ants, and titan beetles.
Earl: Basically, they eat rocks, turning them into piles of soft loam.
Earl: That loam mixed with some nitrogen makes great soil for growing all kinds’a crops.

Julius: More than a third of my land is rocky.
Li: Mine, too. But, couldn’t creatures like that be potentially dangerous?

Earl: I got some idears how t’ better control ‘em, fer which I’d like to consult with you and your missus.
Earl: Could we have a get-together soon-like? My family is eager to meet yours.
