Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Nicole is sitting up in a medi-vat, barely conscious. She's not wearing anything but the vat slime covers her upper torso and the rest of her is under the opaque surface of the soup. A medical assistant, a stout woman, is holding her by the elbow, coaxing her to climb out.
Assistant: WAEK UP, CUPCAEK, URE ALL HEALD UP NAO.
Assistant: TIEM 4 PROCESIN.
Nicole (weakly): Processing?
Panel 2
The assistant guides Nicole through a cleaning membrane. We only see them from the waist-up and Nicole has one arm across her chest.
Assistant: WE KNOE U HAS CORTICAL IMPLANT.
Assistant: WILL U ALLOW US ACCES SO WE CAN SHUT IT DOWN?
Nicole: Huh? No, I can't do that!

The assistant holds forth a folded-up jumpsuit.
Assistant: DO U KNOE WER U R?
Nicole: No.
Assistant: URE IN DA INFIRMARY OV TEH ADRINOPOLIS JAIL.
Panel 4
Nicole is putting on the jumpsuit, as the Assistant waits.
Nicole: Why?
Assistant: U DID SUMPIN WRONG, CUPCAEK.
