A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1A servo-bot has approached the table, and Wayne is keying an order into it as he continues pestering Nicole.
Wayne: Ah, well, I suppose I do have a 'past' with Dr. Ó Murchada. We've crossed paths many times over the last century and a half.
Panel 2
Nicole finally looks Wayne in the eye.
Nicole: He says you're a manipulative charmer and not to be trusted.
Wayne: Did he? Heh-heh.
Panel 3
Wayne smiles sweetly.
Wayne: Well, Seamus is certainly direct. And he's right.
Wayne: I am a manipulative charmer.
Panel 4
The servo-bot returns with Wayne's order – a single glass of some beverage. Nicole glares at him.
Wayne: But with regards to trust, I don't know if I can trust the judgment of someone who would hire a completely inexperienced ingenue to pilot a Helio-Flyer under the solar Corona.
