Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
What Comes Next [ Mar 18, 2024 ]
The war is over, but This Means War has a ways to go. Novo Paolo/Bubbleopolis is still in a nebula/stellar nursery, no one knows what happened to the planet Sharen (center of the Intergalactic Council), and the status of the now-surrendered Invaders is yet to be resolved. What will they do when they learn their homeworld is basically destroyed? Will Alyss and Li be re-united? How about Diana (the real one) and Otto?
These questions will be resolved in the next few weeks, before This Means War part 3 wraps in late May.
After that, I plan to go BACK in time about 400 years, to when Alyss and Li left their home in the Sol System to colonize a new world on the far side of the galaxy. As one might expect, hijinks ensue. New subtitle yet to be determined, start date sometime in around the start of July. Stay tuned!
Panel 1
Shot of a largish fireplace, with a fake, holographic fire. Three glasses go flying into it, crashing against the fake burning logs.
SFX: Crash! Krrsh!
Nicole: Waiter! Another round!
Panel 2
Buford, Murphy and Nicole at the table in Callahan's. An android waiter is standing by.

Nicole: Anudder scotch 'n' wadder. Maghe idda Springbank dis dime, 'kay?
Panel 3
Two-shot of Murphy and Nicole. Murphy looks worried, Nicole looks like she has no worries.
Murphy: I must say I'm concerned you seem to have a drinking problem.
Nicole: Whad drinkin problum? I can drink jus fine, no problum!
Panel 4
Cut to: Seamus entering the station through Gate 5, his brow furrowed in thought.
Seamus (thought): This is madness.
Seamus (thought): I don't _really_ need to bring Nicole the rest of the way through this slog.
Panel 5
Seamus still thinks furiously as he approaches the Muc Ar Foulain consulate
Seamus (thought): I thought she'd be safer if I kept her with me until the end.
Seamus (thought): If I sent her back to L-5, my enemies could grab her and use her as leverage against me.
Panel 6
Seamus has found his way to Callahan's, and is approaching the table with the girls. Buford has her smaller beer glass, and Nicole has her whisky shot in one hand has turned to look at him.
Nicole: Oh, look!
Nicole: It's Uncle Grampa!
Nicole: Whatcha got in store fer us terday, Uncle Grampa?
Panel 7
Same shot -- a pause, as Buford and Murphy look at each other with confusion, and Nicole smiles at Seamus expectantly. Seamus is momentarily non-plussed.
No dialog
Panel 8
Seamus bursts into laughter, grabbing an empty chair to stabilize himself. Buford and Murphy look perplexed, Nicole knocks back her drink.
Seamus: {SNORT!} BWAAAA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!
Buford: I don't geddit.
Nicole: Heez bin unner a lodda stress ladely.
