A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Buford: You make her sound like a force of nature.
Nigel: Aw, she's not bad. Would you like to meet her?

Buford and Nigel.
Buford: Huh? Oh, sure, if it's not too much trouble.
Nigel: She works here in town. We can get together for dinner if you'd like.

Buford suddenly brings a palm up to her ear. Pose so we can see her earpiece in her left ear.
Buford: I'll have to check wit' – speak of t'e defil, my charge is telling me.
Nigel: Your charge is t'e defil? Awesome.

Buford turns away from Nigel to talk with Nicole via her ear-piece. Nigel is blushing a bit.
Buford: Hi, Nicole, we were just talking about you.
Buford: Yeah, I'fe got Nigel confinced you're t'e defil. I t'ink it turns him on.
