A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Suddenly, Bufords arms reach in from OP, and begin to lift Nicole by her armpits.
Buford (OP): Oh, for shuck's sake.

Buford is carrying Nicole, still drawn up in her foetal position, away from the casket.
Buford: What must be done, must be done.
Buford: You go sit in t'e sissy corner and I'll help Murphy.

Back at the casket, Buford accepts another pair of skingloves from Murphy.
Murphy: Good thing I decided to go back for extra skingloves.
Buford: Should'fe brought some liquid courage for our princess.
