A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1Viewscreen shows a group of pirates, dressed in uniforms similar to what we saw in Strip 20, marching into the ship from the airlock. The combat-bots are standing by, saluting the pirates.
Mueller: They're – SALUTING the pirates?
Strider: I don't believe it.
Panel 2
Santos barks out orders.
Santos: Strider! Seal all hatches leading from that section!
Santos: Bartoli! Alert all crew that the combat-bots have been compromised!

Looking past Mueller at Santos. Mueller is in a panic-meltdown. Strider barks more orders.
Mueller: We're all going to die ...
Santos: Strider! Vacuum the section!
Santos: Bartoli! See if you can jam their communications!
