Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1
Adileh and the Bartender.
Bartender: The company did'n' wanna bring no families here. Too expensive. So, it's mostly just men.
Adileh: Don't they understand what a powder-keg they're creating here?
Panel 2
The Bartender and Adileh
Bartender: Eventually, yeah. So they brought in some company … uh … doxies.
Adileh: Doxies? As in, sex-workers?
Bartender: Whatever y' wanna call 'em, dey're all in th' 'Rising Sun' franchise brothels.
Panel 3
The Bartender and Adileh – in the background, a male patron approaches the bar.
Bartender: I've, uh, made a few deliveries there. Don't like to, though.
Bartender: Dose poor girls look like they've been rode just about to death.
Adileh: Why do they stay in the brothels?
Panel 4
The Bartender and Adileh – the male patron has sidled up next to Adileh and is leering at her. She tries not to notice.
Bartender: Are you kiddin'? With all th' hungry wolves around, those brothels are th' only places dose girls are reasonably safe.
Adileh: I see what you mean.
