Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Still at the booth, Juan and Diana stare back at Alyss dumbfoundedly.
Caption: We were both at a loss for words, for a moment.
Caption: Roaz is more than just a 'pillar of the community,' she's one of the 'Five Pillars of Bubbleopolis.' Wealthy beyond reason, a co-founder of The City, and Mother of the Great Human Diaspora.
Caption: I began accessing the Redes via my implant to grab some basic info about that case.
Panel 2
Diana is first to speak.
Diana: That … that murder happened very close to a year ago.
Diana: Smith & Holder's best investigators worked on that case for nine cycles, and found no good leads.
Diana: It's a cold case, probably un-solvable. Why are you looking to us now?
Panel 3
Medium shot of Alyss. She has pulled out a small Screen and is tapping something into it.
Alyss: Because, Diana Martelli, I believe you and Juan might find something the first-string guys overlooked.
Alyss: In many ways being from outside the City gives you a fresher eye.
Alyss: And honestly, you're a long-shot but you're the only shot I can see that might win the game.
Panel 4
Alyss is showing the Screen's face to Juan and Diana. Their eyes are very wide.
Alyss: This is what I can offer you now. Twice this when you successfully solve the case.
Juan: Twuh … twuh …
