Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Focus is medium shot of a weeping Diana cradling a dead Wook in her arms. Beyond them we can see large chunks of goon embedded into cracked walls and cabinets.
Caption: But killing Carmen and all the goons in Bubbleopolis wasn't going to bring back Wook.
Caption: I cried and shook until I came to the realization that there might be more goons coming.
Panel 2
Diana is now dragging Wook's body by the heels headed out the doorway. Past the remains of Carmen.
Caption: I tried calling for help but my signal was blocked. The place was obviously q-wave shielded, the perfect place to bag someone.
Caption: So I had to move us. Fortunately, ever since the time I fell out of that old Jaxx Forge factory I started carrying a mini-Bubb. In 3 mesecs it was able to carry Wook … barely.
Panel 3
In a dark corridor, Diana has stopped at a corridor intersection, trying to figure out her path.
Caption: I had run in there so fast I wasn't sure which path to take back out.
Caption: I tried to call for help again but my signal was still blocked.
Panel 4
Suddenly Pauline Kempadoo (remember her?) appears behind Diana and grabs her by the upper-arms, spreading them outward
Pauline: GOTCHA!
Diana: Yaagh!!
