Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Group shot. Alyss is introducing 'Nancy' but Mordy seems uninterested in her.
Alyss: And this is our secretary, Nancy Jayne.
Mordy: Yes, yes. So, what do you think of my new home away from home?
Panel 2
They start walking together in the direction from which Mordy came. They stroll past an assortment of objects including a full set of medieval knight-armor, shields mounted on walls, and a miniature, gilded Ballista.
Enrique: It's very … lavishly appointed.
Mordy: Yes, thank you. This is only part of my collection, mind you.
Panel 3
They continue walking.
Jorge: So you've done very well for yourself, working for the Intergalactic Council.
Mordy: Oh, I suppose so. But I worked very hard over several decades to attain this position.
Panel 4
The continue walking, past an ornately-framed reproduction of Picasso's _Guernica_.
Mordy: This display does have a purpose, of course.
Mordy: I want visitors to understand that we are a civilized culture, in the best human tradition.
