Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

UPDATE: There has been some strange glitch in the Kickstarter launch, so Scott is cancelling the campaign temporarily and will re-start as soon the cause of the problem can be determined and corrected.

Bok: The citynet is howling with complaints and pleas for help and information.
Bok: Notably quiet has been the Intergalactic Council Legation.
Bok: But Legation Director Mordecai Montanha-Flores did issue a statement late yesterday:
Panel 2
Cut to potato-boxed image of Mordy, looking preturbed from behind his desk, making his statement:
Mordy: We categorically and emphatically deny any involvement of the Intergalactic Council with this ‘Universal Freedom Legion’ or it’s so-called ‘Liberateurs.’
Mordy: As clearly the city’s leaders are failing to protect the citizens, we are closing the Legation to all visitors until further notice.

Panel 3
Cut to the SchildHaus under assault by Snappers. Bok narrates from an inset.
Bok: Another focus of combat is the venerated SchildHaus, an exclusive steak-and-brew eatery.
Bok: Whether the rumors that this building also houses the city’s external shield controls are true, the invaders seem to believe it.
Panel 4
Cut to Jerome, with his Noticícias Increditável set.
Jerome: Apparently the Pillars’ idea that the Shield House could hide in plain view has not proved-out.
Jerome: Perhaps the city’s heavy reliance on Deslocação Dinámico’s shielding technology may not save Bubbleopolis in this crisis.
Jerome: Many voices are demanding the Pillars request assistance from the Intergalactic Council, and denouncing those who would suggest the IGC is involved in these attacks.
Panel 5
Jerome narrates as in the background, Eva Jeanne roars past the SchildHaus, guns blazing.
Jerome: So far defence has seemed completely haphazard, disorganized, with the big guns jumping from one battle to the next.
Jerome: Where are Kāng Min-Chèng and his militia, Demônios de Combate?

Cut to Kāng, looking out a window with high-tech binoculars. A lieutenant is nearby behind him.
Kāng: Any sign we’ve been detected?
Lieutenant: None so far, sir.
Kāng: The element of surprise will be crucial. There must be no mis-steps here.
