Dark plans fall like thunderbolts.
Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
Kickstarter successful and closed [ May 19, 2026 ]
The Kickstarter campaign for Not-Safe.Space Chapter 3 concluded successfully on April 21, and Scott extended the time allowed for late pledges until May 19.
Books have been ordered from the printer and Scott will be spending the next week or so setting up and sending the PDF files to those who asked for them.
(There are still six of you who have not responded to the survey asking for e-mail and snail-mail addresses, he'll do the best he can.)
Panel 1
Alyss and her netos gathered around, as Alyss continues the story.
Alyss: The next week, as Li went off to meet with our group’s legal beagle and Elvin’s
lawyer, Warren, Brielle and I went to the garden to plant avocado trees.
Panel 2
Nicole, Warren and Brielle, standing in front of a section of fence, overlooking a six-section planter box. Nearby are six 3.5 meter-tall boxes.
Li: Ok, to start, we need to plant these six avocado trees.
Panel 3
Nicole pulls a small tree out of its box, rooted in a 5-gallon pot..
Nicole: This is one of them, shipped directly from Brazil, on Terra.
Brielle: Terra?
Warren: Terrible Terra?
Panel 4
Nicole is handing the kids a pair of trowels
Nicole: Yeah, it’s terrible, but still a great source of avocado trees.
Nicole: We are going to become the best source of them on Novo Polermo.
Nicole: First, we need to transfer them to the planters.
Panel 5
The kids are looking at the trowels with dubious expressions.
Nicole (op): You will dig holes in thpe planters big enough for their roots.
Nicole: Get going. I’ll tell you when the holes are big enough.
Panel 6
Brielle and Warren on their knees, strarting to dig.
Brielle: How come we have to dig and you don’t?
Nicole: I’m supervising.
