Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly
100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five
centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various
off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The
story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along
with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues
with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.
What Comes Next [ Mar 18, 2024 ]
The war is over, but This Means War has a ways to go. Novo Paolo/Bubbleopolis is still in a nebula/stellar nursery, no one knows what happened to the planet Sharen (center of the Intergalactic Council), and the status of the now-surrendered Invaders is yet to be resolved. What will they do when they learn their homeworld is basically destroyed? Will Alyss and Li be re-united? How about Diana (the real one) and Otto?
These questions will be resolved in the next few weeks, before This Means War part 3 wraps in late May.
After that, I plan to go BACK in time about 400 years, to when Alyss and Li left their home in the Sol System to colonize a new world on the far side of the galaxy. As one might expect, hijinks ensue. New subtitle yet to be determined, start date sometime in around the start of July. Stay tuned!
Panel 1
Re-establish the scene in the hotel lobby. Nicole and Rando seated, angled-facing each other. Nicole is looking serious as a heart attack.
Nicole: Come clean, Greene. Your interest in me is professional, isn't it?
Rando: I – professional?
Panel 2
Medium c/u on Nicole, looking sideways in Rando's direction.
Nicole: I looked you up on Who Dat.
Nicole: You are in the publicity business, Greene.
Panel 3
Two-shot of Nicole and Greene. Green looks, strangely, relieved.
Nicole: Since my Sun-dive my mailbox is full of entreaties from publicists.
Nicole: Well, you should know I already have a very good publicist, and don't need a second one.
Panel 4
Nicole poses what she thinks is a challenge. Greene simply smiles back at her.
Nicole: So. Do you still want to spend time showing me around Aldrinopolis, knowing that you're not going to make a gram off of me?
Panel 5
Medium c/u of Greene, head bowed like the kid who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Greene: I … well, you have me dead to rights.
Greene: I saw you leaving the Bully Goat, recognized you, and followed you to the Offworld Lounge.
Panel 6
Two-shot of Green and Nicole. Green is a smoothie.
Greene: And I have to admit I'm disappointed there won't be a business deal here.
Greene: But I'd be even more disappointed if this means I won't get to spend time with you during your all-too brief stay in my town.
Panel 7
Nicole gives Greene the hairy eye-ball. Greene rolls his eyes.
Greene: And yeah, I'll still hope that some where down the road you'll need a new publicist, and call me.
Panel 8
Nicole stands.
Nicole: OK, so long as you're straight with me, we can be friends.
Nicole: Let's go.
