Quantum Vibe
A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Panel 1At the L-5 City spaceport, a bustling concourse of people from around the System. Nicole stands near a gate bearing a sign Alpine Dream: Helios Base, looking around anxiously. She has next to her a smallish carry-on-type bag, which rolls on small wheels. (On a nearby support column we see one of the ubiquitous gravity-level signs. This one reads 'EG3'.)

Panel 2
Seamus strides rapidly into the frame, towards the gate. Nicole has hands on hips, looking askance at him.
Nicole: Boarding began 20 minutes ago!
Seamus: {gasp} Yes, I'm late. {wheeze} Sorry, couldn't be helped {gasp}
Panel 3
As Seamus strides past Nicole, we see three full-sized suitcases-on-wheels following in his wake. Nicole takes notice of them.
Seamus: {gasp} {wheeze} {gasp}
Panel 4
Nicole falls into line behind the last large suitcase, her own carry-on following her. She looks really annoyed.
Seamus: {wheeze} Didn't I say to pack light? {gasp}
Seamus: The spaceliner charges by the kilogram. {wheeze}
