Quantum Vibe

A thousand years in the future, humanity has colonized worlds in nearly 100 galaxies, thanks to Quantum Vibremonic technologies developed five centuries earlier. Other new technologies have created various off-shoots of humanity and extended life expectancies five-fold. The story begins with how a mad scientist and his plucky assistant, along with their robot friend, brought humanity to the stars, and continues with the adventures of some unique people in fantastic places.

Transcript For Strip 595

Panel 1
Nigel has approached the desk where the Clerk sits. Murphy is also in the frame.
Nigel: Waitaminute. What's the deal with Bosley's autopsies?
Clerk: Well, I don't know, exactly.

Panel 2
Looking past Nigel and Murphy at the Clerk.
Clerk: We deal with twelve different investigative outfits.
Clerk: All of them get challenged at least once in a while.
Clerk: But I've seen Bosley get challenged twenty-three times, counting you guys, in the last hundred days or so.

Panel 3
Nigel and Murphy, with Buford in the background.
Nigel: Well, I'll be damned.
Murphy: Why did your sister choose to sign up with Bosley, in particular?
Nigel: She didn't, really. It's a benefit from her employer.

Panel 4
Nigel, Murphy and Buford turn to look at Nicole, who is still holding the waste-can under her chin.
Nicole: That's one of the things that make you go, 'hmmm.'
Nicole: By the way, can I get a drink of water?
